The Garden Grant exists to encourage expressions of joy. What cool things can someone build with a little bit of help and fewer barriers to access? We support independent, multidisciplinary creators by funding short-term projects that represent escapism, medium not restricted.
In times like these, joy in art is important. Whimsy is vital.
Garden Grants are $500 awards to two (2) independent creators per cycle who commit to making something beautiful.
At this time, we are prioritizing diverse applicants, so creatives who are from LGBTQIA and communities of color are encouraged to apply.
The Garden Grant is fiscally sponsored by Vinegar, an artist-run, women-led nonprofit committed to getting artists paid. This relationship allows any donations made to The Garden Grant to be tax-deductible. 100% of your donation goes to The Garden Grant.
